About our Gemstones

We believe jewellery should feel meaningful — not just beautiful.
At Allora Jade, we work with genuine gemstones that are chosen for their energy, symbolism, and natural charm. Every piece carries a story, and our goal is to share as much as we know about that story with you.

What “Real Gemstones” Means

The gemstones used in our jewellery are authentic stones sourced from nature.
However, just like many gemstones found in stores around the world, some may go through gentle enhancements to improve colour, clarity or durability.

Common practices in the jewellery industry include:

  • Heat Treatment – to deepen or brighten colour

  • Colour Enhancement – to stabilise or make tones more consistent

  • Dyeing – occasionally used for vibrant or rare colour variations (e.g., some Imperial Jasper)

These treatments are considered standard in gemstone jewellery and do not make a gemstone “fake.” They simply help the stone look its best and last longer.

Why Enhancements Happen

Some gemstones are naturally pale or uneven in colour. Others are incredibly rare in their natural state (like natural Citrine). Enhancements are used to:

✨ highlight the stone’s natural beauty
✨ improve long-term wear and durability
✨ make otherwise rare stones more accessible and affordable

We share this because we value trust over perfection. We won’t claim something we can’t confidently prove — and when we know, we’ll tell you.

Natural, Treated & Dyed — A Quick Guide

Gemstone Type What It Usually Means
Natural Formed and coloured by nature; may be polished or cut only
Heat-Treated Heated to enhance colour (very common & widely accepted)
Colour-Enhanced / Stabilised Improved for durability or clarity
Dyed Colour added to achieve unique tones or patterns

If a gemstone is known to be dyed or treated, we will share that information — either on the product page or directly with you if you ask.

What We Can (and Can’t) Guarantee

What we can promise:

✔ Real gemstones
✔ Transparency when we know specifics
✔ No plastic, resin or imitation stones sold as gemstones
✔ Honest descriptions and sourcing information as provided to us

What we can’t guarantee:

❌ That every gemstone is 100% untreated
❌ Exact metaphysical results or healing outcomes
❌ Perfection — gemstones are naturally unique, with variations in tone and pattern

Those variations are what make them magical. No two pieces are ever exactly the same.

A Note From Nat

Crystals have been part of my life since I was a teenager — I wear them daily, and I believe in their emotional and spiritual support. But I also believe in honesty.

The world of gemstones is beautiful, messy, magical and imperfect. I’ll never claim a crystal will cure an illness or change your life overnight — but I will always treat your trust with care and respect.

Thank you for being here. 💛
